About the track
This one was a bit of a doozy. I rewrote the lyrics more times than I can count. Even the music itself took a while to settle.
But in the end this was a song I really wanted to write.
For the past four years I've been very involved in philanthropic and social work here in town. It's one of those things that genuinely brings me joy. I absolutely love it.
But after a while you start noticing a certain type of person.
I often think of them as wanna-be politicians. The kind of people who treat community work like a small political stage. And it's amazing how often people like that end up climbing into leadership positions.
Now don't get me wrong. They do good things. Sometimes a lot of good.
The problem is usually the cost.
How far are you willing to bend your virtues to make something happen? How much of your ethics are you willing to trade away for influence, control, or recognition?
That is what this song is really about.

...this one is fuller, stronger vocals, I liked it too. The chorus is half the song, and it's excellent. Energy in just the right measure, it rises when it needs to and gives the song a boost.

This was definitely more in the Rock style compared to the other tracks, showing off you can do a bit of everything which is pretty cool. Enjoyed the tone in the guitars and those drums were massive as well, keep that up!We Write About Music · Review
